Two tent sculptures made of metal poles with a stretched pvc cloth are set up on a long strech of meadow land in the middle of the Vollsmose built-up area. The tent sculptures are, as the name indicates, something between sculpture and tent, between aesthetics and function. The tents relates naturrally to a lot of functions connected to family tents, nomadic tents, market tents, circus tents etc., but none of these relations are quite clear or distinctive. The tents also have form elements, which are not related to any particular functions and as such are quite sculpturel. The tent sculptures also refer to the mobile versus the stationary. An achitectural sculpture made as a tent both relates to the static stability of a building and to the unstable inconstancy of a tent. The tent is a mobile space, a passing settlement, that indicates that something is going on, some exceptional event, for a some time.
